This is book two in The Golden Gate Chronicles series. I was drawn into this wonderful historical fiction romance right from the start. I was laughing and crying so much while reading this book. You will definitely need your drink and some tissues while you read this captivating book. The characters and the settings were so real. I felt as though I was there in that time period experiencing the devastation, pain, heartache and love with them. Their will to help others that are in desperate need. I love the faith and struggles with faith that is entwined throughout this story. An excellent read!
